The BASE range of pressure relieving products, from Dynamic Air, have been universally well received since their introduction in 1986. 

    All the products are manufactured from an array of strips, each with a row of six individual bellows. These individual bellows 'air springs' act independently from each other thus conforming to the body's contours, unlike any other type of pressure relieving product. The strips are then interconnected, allowing the free movement of air within the cushions so equalizing support pressure. 

   The Flotation Seating System is one product from the BASE range of products and is intended for universal seating use e.g. wheelchairs, armchairs and car seats etc.

   The system is designed to be adapted to individual users by adjusting the air pressure within the cushion cells using the hand inflator, HP103. This simple device has a hand pump for inflating, a valve for deflating, and a gauge for determining the pressure in the system.

    Two flotation cushions are available; the TS 103 is recommended for persons weighing up to 200lbs, and the TS206 double depth for heavier people. 

    The BASE seating systems, when tested with the Talley Pressure Monitor MKIII, compare extremely favorably against all other seating products commonly used by persons who sit for long periods. The price is also very much below what might be expected for a product of such efficiency. 

    Seating comfort is very much a subjective problem. The BASE product range is designed to adapt to the majority of individual needs, so making cushion choice much simpler for the prescriber.
