Gradient Squential Compression Pressure Reducing Surfaces Dynamic Seating Systems

Finally….

The Pressure Relief of a Bed Available for the Wheelchair.

Dynamic Air introduces the Equalizer.

A portable, powered seating system using sequential alternating pressure to prevent and treat pressure ulcers.

The Equalizer consists of 8 rows of six (6) air cells (48) designed to displace body weight over the entire surface of the seating pad.  The unique 1 in 4 sequential wave alternating pressure allows the entire seat area to be relieved every 5-7 minutes.  This compete relief of skin interface pressure decreases the chances of skin breakdown.

The Equalizer is a self-adjusting alternating pressure system. Set to the patients general weight, the electronically controlled MOBILE pump unit automatically adjusts to the patients positioning to deliver optimum surface contact within the seat area.

Combining overall pressure reduction with intermittent pressure relief has long been accepted as a means of treating and preventing pressure ulcers in a mattress. Now it is available for the chair bound patient.

System Features

  • Interconnected air filled bellows are incorporated in a foam support to prevent lateral deflection and adapts to the contours of the body providing distribution of the body's weight, reducing overall interface pressures.

  • Rows of bellows operate in a 1 in 4 cell cycle to help promote circulation to areas normally occluded during prolonged seated periods.

  • Adjustable patient comfort control.

  • Battery operated MOBILE pump unit features visual and audible operating status and fault indicators.

  • Fully charged battery will operate the cushion continuously for up to 20 hours.

  • Supplied with a Dartex® Cover which is a waterproof, vapor permeable, two way stretch cover
